The Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office 1 will hold a job fair as it gears up for the celebration of 79th DOLE Foundation Anniversary on December 8 with the theme: “79 taon ng matapat na serbisyo, hatid sa bawat Pilipino”.
Local and overseas jobs will be up for grabs as the job fair-to be held at the Bauang North Central School, Central East, Bauang, La Union on December 6-will try to bring together 30 local employers and 28 licensed recruitment agencies.
Among the invited local employers are: Toyota Dagupan City, Inc., SITEL Philippines, San Roque Human Resources Corporation, North Luzon Steel Corporation, Puyat Steel Corporation, MAGNAPEAK Services Corporation, ADDESSA Corporation, ISONN Marketing, Chowking La Union, Mart One (The Expressions), St. Joseph Drugstore, EAGLE STAR Industrial Corporation, Cocolife and others.
Some of the licensed recruitment agencies expected to participate are: D.A. Rodrigo International Manpower Services, Inc., Eyequest International Manpower Services, Inc., France Asia International Specialist, Inc., Gammon International Manpower Agecy, Inc., Aim High International Placement Corporation, Best One International Services and Consultancy, Inc., Topmost Manpower Specialist Corp., Sunway International Manpower Services, Incorporated.
DOLE 1 Regional Director Grace Ursua also bared that the anniversary celebration will be highlighted by a DOLE-Regional Coordinating Committee (DOLE-RCC) 1 family day on December 7, a day before December 8, at the Philippine Navy, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.
“Essentially, the DOLE-RCC 1 family day will serve to foster stronger relationships among DOLE agencies for better service delivery,” Ursua said.
DOLE-RCC1 is composed of the DOLE-Regional Office 1 as the Chair, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Professional Regulation Commission, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, and National Labor Relations Commission as members.
Celebratory activities include thanksgiving mass, singing and dance contests, conferment of loyalty awards, raffle draws, parlor games and hataw exercises. – Arly Sta. Ana-Valdez
