The Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office No. I officially welcomed back Nathaniel V. Lacambra as its Regional Director.
“You are back to where you really belong,” outgoing OIC-Assistant Regional Director Honorina D. Baga told Director Lacambra in her welcome message during the simple ceremony held at the Marand Resort and Spa, Bauang, La Union on March 15.
Present were heads and staff of the DOLE-Regional Coordinating Committee I members, namely, NCMB, RTWPB, POEA, OWWA, NLRC, PRC and ECC; heads and staff of all DOLE-RO I field offices and divisions; DOLE-CAR delegates led by OIC-Regional Director Exequiel Guzman, and DOLE-RO I retirees.
Director Lacambra, who has acquired remarkable expertise, experience and trainings in the fields of management and administration and various programs of the Department such as Occupational Safety and Health Standards, employment, productivity, labor relations and enforcement and livelihood, laid down his initial priorities and plans before the DOLE-RCC I in his hope of achieving a more collaborative program implementation in the region.
“We should establish stronger cooperation on OSH trainings to capacitate more companies in complying with OSH standards,” he said, adding that the OSH Network of Region I (OSHNet-I) can be tapped for more intensified trainings on OSH. The directive was given by Director Lacambra to ensure that accidents do not happen in workplaces.
