More profitable livelihood will literally roll in the 6th District of Pangasinan after the DOLE-RO I turned over P1,724,875 worth of Negosyo sa Kariton assistance for 114 ambulant vendors.
The beneficiaries come from the municipalities of Asingan (22), Balungao (2), Natividad (7), Rosales (7), San Nicolas (7), San Quintin (7), San Manuel (20), Sta. Maria (6) and Umingan (36).
Regional Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra led the turn-over of 41 vending carts, which compose the last batch of the total assistance, at the Office of 6th District Representative Marlyn Primicias-Agabas in San Nicolas, Pangasinan on March 21.
“Take good care of the equipment and working capital given to you. Through hard work, turn your vending activities into more profitable livelihood,” Director Lacambra told the beneficiaries.
Not only were vending carts given to the beneficiaries. They also received working capital for the procurement or production of marketable goods/services, raw materials and other inputs; GSIS coverage; training materials, and safety nets.
The Office of Congresswoman Agabas provided P121,140 to defray the expenses for the meals during the trainings.
Through the NegoKart, the ambulant vendors can reach more buyers, diversify and upgrade their goods, thus helping them earn more income. END/Arly Sta. Ana-Valdez
