Over 20-K jobs await jobseekers at DOLE Labor Day job fairs

Jobseekers should make a go for over 20 thousand jobs which will be offered during the job and business fairs being organized in celebration of the 2017 Labor Day. 

DOLE-RO I Regional Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra said job and business fairs will be conducted at the Robinsons Place, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte; CB Mall, Urdaneta City and Lingayen, Pangasinan on May 1.  

He said coordination with local employers, licensed recruitment agencies and other government agencies is being finalized to bring together at least 50 local employers and licensed recruitment agencies which will make available over 5,000 vacancies at the San Nicolas jobs fair; 40 local employers and licensed recruitment agencies to offer at least 10,000 jobs at the CB Mall, and 23 local employers and licensed recruitment agencies to offer at least 6,000 vacancies at the Lingayen jobs fair. 

“We make it easy and fast for jobseekers to find jobs that fit their qualifications, interests and career inclinations; while we continue to review our entrepreneurship and livelihood programs to improve our assistance to those seeking livelihood and want to venture into entrepreneurial activities,” the regional director said.

Workers and jobseekers can also avail of various services for their employment and legal needs through one-stop-shops offered by the Social Security System, Philhealth, Pag-IBIG, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Professional Regulation Commission, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board and National Labor Relations Commission.
