ROSARIO, LA UNION LOCALS TO BENEFIT FROM DOLE ASSISTANCE


 

Disadvantaged and displaced workers in Rosario, La Union will benefit from programs under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), as the DOLE Regional Office I awards funding to the Rosario local government unit today, May 11, 2021, at the Municipal Covered Court, Rosario, La Union.

 

La Union Second District Representative Sandra Y. Eriguel and DOLE Regional Dir. Atty. Evelyn R. Ramos spearheaded the turnover of check amounting to P3,907,500 to Rosario Mayor Bellarmin Flores II. Of the said amount, P3 Million shall fund the procurement of farm implements to benefit three farmer associations, under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program; and P907,500 as wages for 165 underemployed/self-employed workers who will benefit in the DOLE's emergency employment, through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Displaced/ Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) Program.
