To intensify the operationalization of its Efficiency and Integrity Boards already established in all its Regional Offices and attached agencies, the Department of Labor and Employment has firmed up support from Tripartite Industrial Peace Councils.
Of late, its Regional Office in the City of San Fernando, La Union convened the Executive Board of the Regional TIPC to strengthen its capacity in the performance of its functions as member of the EIB.
“As ardently advocated by the present administration, we seek the support of our tripartite partners in the TIPCs to pursue transformational leadership within the realm of labor and employment,” Director Henry John Jalbuena said.
Headed by Director Jalbuena, the EIB will take particular steps to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and make public service free from graft and irregularities.
The body will monitor strict observance of the Code of Conduct of DOLE regional and field office officials and employees and recommend systems improvement where necessary to address areas of weaknesses.
For 2011, the DOLE 1 EIB is set out to implement an Integrity Development Action Plan in order to fulfill its functions. asv
