Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III lead today, March 13, the ocular inspection of the new building of DOLE Regional Office 1 in Rosales, Pangasinan.
Located in Brgy. Carmay, the building shall soon house the strengthened operations of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 (DOLE RO1) in Rosales and the entire Pangasinan.
The transfer of the DOLE RO1 in Rosales is also now in the plans.
Sec. Estrella, who was former Pangasinan’s sixth district representative, pioneered for the establishment of the edifice years back.
With its strategic location, Rosales is being envisioned to be a hub of government services and economic activities.
The construction is set to complete around July. It was funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) with project cost pegged at P58 Million.
It is a two-storey structure with a covered roof deck. It sits in a 606 square-meter floor area.
Joining the Secretaries in the ocular visit were DOLE Usec. Ciriaco Lagunzad III, Usec. Felipe Egargo Jr., OIC Usec. Dominique Rubia-Tutay, Asec. Warren Miclat, HRDS Director Brenalyn Peji, Regional Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman, and DPWH District Engineer Venus Torio.
Serving as witnesses were DOLE Cordillera Regional Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra, DOLE RO1 Assistant RD Honorina Dian-Baga, DOLE Division Chiefs and Field Office heads; Professional Regulation Commission RD Arl Ruth Sacay-Sabelo, and Rosales local government officials led by Mayor William Cezar and Vice Mayor Susan Casareno; and media representatives.
