“Let us not leave any stone unturned.”
That’s the directive of Regional Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman to his management committee (Mancom) as he leads the discussion during the 2022 Yearend Performance Assessment (YEPA) and 2023 Strategic Planning of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1, on January 23-24, 2023 in Binmaley, Pangasinan.
The statement of RD Guzman underscored the DOLE RO1’s thrusts to comprehensively assess and review its program implementation, in an aim to enhance and intensify social impact this 2023.
The DOLE RO1 Mancom discussed issues and concerns which arose in 2022, on programs and services in livelihood and employment (LE) and labor relations and labor standards (LRLS). Assistant RD Honorina Dian-Baga, TSSD-LE Chief Teresa Bonavente and TSSD-LRLS OIC and Mediator-Arbiter Atty. Amado Gasmin led the discussion.
“We bring these issues and concerns to the fore not to highlight them as hindrances, but as areas for improvement,” RD Guzman said.
Likewise, IMSD Chief Ronaldo De Vera discussed administrative alignment strategies. “Our financial procedures are the backbone of program implementation, hence our collaboration should be streamlined,” he said.
DOLE RO1’s six Field Offices then developed their implementation plan based on preliminary targets for CY 2023.
